Hello Windermere Dolphin Families,

We hope this note finds you well and enjoying the beautiful weather of the last few weeks! As indicated in our prior message, the 2020 season was cancelled out of respect for the safety of our swimmers and their loved ones. At the time of that note in May, we were unsure how the summer would unfold and if the league would be willing to organize a delayed season or individual events. After a recent discussion, our teams have decided that collectively we will look forward to an exciting swim season next summer! In keeping with our intent to consider the safety of our families first and foremost, Windermere will not be organizing any swim team related events for the remainder of the summer.

In case you missed our previous note, please know that we do not want our swimmers who would have aged out this summer to miss the opportunity to celebrate the culmination of their team experience with an active season. We are happy to announce that they will be invited back next summer to enjoy one last season!

We understand this has been a disappointing last few months with cancellations and postponements abound. We certainly miss seeing the kids having fun and challenging themselves on the swim team, and working with parents to run successful meets and enjoy our neighborhood community. In addition, it feels a bit ironic that the weather has been so beautiful and cooperative (all of you who stood under shelter edges and deck umbrellas with us through prior downpours of rain will likely agree!), but we encourage you to enjoy the wonderful weather with your family and we will hope for a repeat of sunny skies next summer.
