Invitational Meet Info + Heat Sheet
Hi families! The invitational will take place at Fishers High School TOMORROW. This is an all day meet. Below is an estimated timeline of the day and some helpful information. Attached to this email are the meet entries for each swimmer. If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Swimmer Information: Every swimmer will need to bring a bag with towels, goggles, drinks and snacks. Swimmers are encouraged to wear their team suits if they have one and will need to make sure they wear their team shirt. It is important that swimmers bring drinks and snacks because the meet is all day and parents are NOT allowed on deck for any reason. Coaches will be on deck as well as some team parents to help with anything your swimmer may need. I will send the heat sheet out once the league sends it to coaches but please look through the meet entries to let them know what they are swimming ahead of time. Swimmers should come to warm ups with events, heats and lanes already on their arm.
Parent/Spectator Information: There will NOT be concessions this year at the meet. There will be food trucks parked in front of FHS that will be parked at different times throughout the day. Please make sure you plan accordingly to pack food and drinks if you so choose.
Scoring for individual events is as follows:
ESTIMATED TIMELINE:
8:00AM : Arrival of swimmers and volunteers
*Swimmers and families enter through door FH6 then the check in table and pool door is to the right
*Parents will NOT be allowed to enter the pool deck under any circumstances. There will be Windermere parents waiting to usher swimmers to our team bleachers
8:30AM : 6 and under events begin AND warmups for 7-14 year olds take place
9:00-9:15AM : Meet begins for the 7-14 year olds
*Events will run in dual meet order beginning with individual medleys
After the last event, (girls 13-14 freestyle relay), the coaches relay will be conducted.
After the finish of the coaches relay, each team will be allowed to sing/dance/chant their spirit. The meet director will walk around to each team. Then, the coaches will vote on their favorite.
After the finish of the spirit portion, high point awards, spirit awards and team awards will be given out.
3:00-3:30PM: End of meet
Please make sure to be on time for warmups tomorrow. The most important things are for swimmers to be well rested, have extra goggles/towels, and bring food/drinks to keep them energized and hydrated. Please also try to have your swimmer come with events written on their arm. If they don’t, coaches will find time to do it. As always, let me know if you have additional questions.
Coach Emily
